Presence of Things Unseen, 2014, b/w analog photography.
Installation views Grünerløkka Kunsthall, Oslo, 2014.
Presence of Things Unseen is a series of six analog photographs in black and white.
In Presence of Things Unseen I examine the relationship between the world as it appears to us and the world that "is", through the study of, and interaction with, various trees, landscapes and domestic spaces. The work is based on the potential of human imagination, animism and ideas of deep ecology, characterized by its advocacy of the inherent worth of living beings regardless of their instrumental utility to human needs.
